Aktivist giyim markası reflect’in yeni koleksiyonu “YOU MADE IT” için hazırladığı performatif defile bir bedenin farklı bedenlerin de hafızalarını üzerine giydiği bir ev arama yolculuğudur. Bu yolculuk hepimizin bir yerden bir yere gitmek zorunda bırakılabileceğini bizlere hatırlatırken aynı zamanda tüm gitmek zorunda olanların hikayelerine “kibir” den mümkün olduğu kadar arınarak bakmamızı arzulayıp izleyici bir deneyim aktarımına davet eder.

“Nisan 2017’de yeni bir tasarım anlayışıyla odağına insanı alan ve sürdürülebilirlik konusunda farkındalık yaratan aktivist bir giyim markası olarak yola çıktık.
2 Şubat 2018 tarihinde “YOU MADE IT” başlıklı ikinci koleksiyonumuzu çıkarıyoruz. İkinci Dünya Savaşından sonrası dünyanın şahit olduğu en büyük mülteci krizini ele aldığımız YOU MADE IT koleksiyonu, zorunlu göçü yaşayan insanların hikayelerini giyilebilir sanat formunda inceliyor.” Reflect ekibi

While life is leaving the rooms of recollection and getting ready for a journey on the trail of life

Our body is like a memory magnet

It loops everything

And wears the life on

Some nights, I hear whispers of various bodies which wear their life on.

‘Take us to the home where we belong…’

Home is safe…

Home is full of hope

Home is the childhood

Home is love

Home is us…

Ayça Ceylan, performance artist and the founding director of bodyinperform(BiP), prepared a performative fashion show for the new collection of activist clothing brand ‘reflect’. This performative fashion show that was prepared for the new collection ‘YOU MADE IT’, is a ‘searching for home’ journey of a body which wears the other bodies’ memories on. This journey reminds us that we may all be left to go from one place to another, but at the same time invites us to look at the stories of all those who are moving, to the extent that they can be considered “arrogance.”

In 21st century when chaos and political crisis’ are transforming the dream of Europe, reflect reaches the stories behind the walls and the borders. Rather than the facts and numbers telling us about the refugee crisis, we believe in the power of human stories. reflect embraces clothes as the surface which we carry on us throughout the journeys and reflects the stories of refugees with them again.
