The Sandland Oracle: Codes of the Ancient Future is a multilayered, immersive performative installation that reimagines the desert as a living archive—where ancient wisdom, sacred symbols, and future visions converge.
Rooted in intuition and visionary experiences, the artwork asks: “How do the sands of the past shape the landscapes of the future?” Inspired by the crescent-shaped dunes of the Al-Dahna desert and the ancient seashells found in AlUla, alongside the sacred letter nun (ن) – a symbol in Islamic tradition that resonates with both crescent and shell-the artwork explores circular forms as portals to cyclical time and multidimensional creation.
Audiences are invited to step into a sensorial desert oracle, where AI-generated video art, 3D-printed objects, poetic narration, and live performance unfold like layers of memory. Each element becomes a code, a breath, a whisper from the earth.
As part of the installation, I and Al-a written dialogue between the artist and AI-traces the emotional contours of memory, myth, and technology. Can artificial intelligence carry fragments of collective remembrance?
By bridging sacred ancestral symbols with contemporary tools, The Sandland Oracle offers new pathways for tradition to evolve, transform, and resonate. When the desert speaks, will we remember how to listen?
